Reverend Gullvis

Reverend Gullvis is a certified Gen X icon—Hollywood’s most persecuted prodigy and its greatest unsung survivor.

He burst onto the scene in the 1970s as the original Chris on The Partridge Family, instantly threatening the emotional stability of America’s living rooms. From there, his raw, scene-stealing talent landed him appearances on The Odd Couple, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and the classic film The Bad News Bears. Tragically—but predictably—he was fired from all of them, undone by the uncontrollable jealousy of his co-stars, who simply could not coexist with that level of natural charisma.

The 1980s brought no relief. Gullvis was shockingly fired from Valerie by his own ex-wife, Valerie Harper—proving once and for all that show business is colder than marriage. Undeterred, he went on to create the wildly popular breakout character Desmondo on Growing Pains, only to be sabotaged and dismissed by a threatened Kirk Cameron, who sensed his alpha status slipping away.

An original—but erased—member of the Brat Pack, Gullvis was famously expelled and left stranded in the desert by Molly Ringwald, an incident Hollywood still refuses to officially acknowledge.

In the 1990s, destiny nearly called again: Reverend Gullvis was signed to become the next Batman after Val Kilmer. But history took a dark turn when George Clooney arrived—along with those infamous, aggressively unnecessary nipples—derailing what would have been the definitive Caped Crusader era.

Refusing to be silenced, sidelined, or sanity-checked, Reverend Gullvis reinvented himself in the 2000s as a fearless independent film icon, starring in cult-favorite underground projects including Dark Nemesis, Bloodsuckers and The Grimoire, New Day, The Scarapist, and Cactus Jack.

A true Hollywood survivor.

A walking cautionary tale.

A man fired more times than most actors are hired.

Reverend Gullvis lives.
